Your baby this week
By 27 weeks, your baby now measures around 36cm from their head to their bottom and weighs a little more than 875g.
You may begin to detect rhythmic movements, this could be hiccups. They are common this week and throughout your pregnancy.
Your body this week
By this stage your uterus (womb) is now up near your rib cage, this may make you short of breath.
An embarassing symptoms this week is incotinence. You may notice that a bit of urine leak outs when you laugh or are pressed.
You will notice that you have a healthier appetite as your baby continues to grow and you could find yourself wanting to eat more.
You may notice these other symptoms this week:
- Occasional faintness or dizziness
- Nasal congestion
- Restless legs syndrome (RLS)
- Back pain
- Bleeding gums
- hyperpigmentation of the skin
